Truman Smith (August 25, 1893 – October 3, 1970) was a U.S.Army infantry officer, military attache, and intelligence officer.He collected valuable intelligence on German military capabilities while serving in Berlin before World War II.
During the war, he was a personal advisor to General George C.Marshall.He influenced the establishment of the new Bundeswehr to play a role in the Cold War.
