William Miller (August 3, 1820 – August 8, 1909) was an American soldier, attorney, timberman, and politician.He served as a general in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War.
One of the few Northern-born Confederate generals, he led the reserve troops of the state of Florida and helped win one of the South's last victories of the war at the Battle of Natural Bridge.
