Prince Georgy Yevgenyevich Lvov (2 November [O.S. 21 October] 1861 – 7/8 March 1925) was a Russian aristocrat and statesman who served as the first prime minister of republican Russia from 15 March to 20 July 1917.
During this time he served as Russia's de facto head of state.Lvov was the last Muscovite and Rurikid head of the Russian state.
During the Russo-Japanese War Lvov gained national fame for organising relief work in the Russian Far East, and in 1905 joined the liberal Constitutional Democratic Party.
