Melissa Hortman (born May 27, 1970) was an American politician and the Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives.A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), she represents District 36B, which includes portions of Anoka and Hennepin counties in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

Prior to the 2018 elections, she served as Minority Leader of the Minnesota House of Representatives.
