Ngo Vinh Long (1944 – October 12, 2022) was a Vietnamese American historian.Long was the author of the 1973 book Before the Revolution: The Vietnamese Peasants Under the French.
Long graduated from Harvard University in 1978 and was hired at the University of Maine in the Department of History in 1985.
He died after a brief illness on October 12, 2022, at the age of 78.
