Robert Hall Chilton (February 25, 1815 – February 18, 1879) was an officer in the U.S.Army and then a brigadier general in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War.
He served as chief of staff for the Army of Northern Virginia under Robert E.Lee for much of the war.
