Robert Livingston Denig Sr. (September 29, 1884 – July 25, 1979) was a decorated United States Marine Corps brigadier general who served in World War I, and served as its first director of public information during World War II.
He is credited with "fathering" the idea of combat correspondents in the United States Armed Forces during World War II.
